My name is Dr. Hussein Bharwani. I was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. I went to medical school in Antigua and finished in the United States. The final 2 years of my medical school were spent at hospitals and clinics in Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Kingston, New York; Visalia, California; Atlanta, Georgia; and Shreveport, Louisiana. I completed my residency in family medicine at St. Luke’s University Health Network: Sacred Heart Hospital, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. After residency, my wife and I opened a practice in Allentown called Majeed Health.
I am a family doctor with an interest in lifestyle medicine, medical weight management, addiction medicine, and psychiatry. Most chronic illnesses, including heart disease, cancer, and type 2 diabetes, are caused by what we eat and physical inactivity. I can help you reverse the cycle. The scope of my practice is not defined by diagnoses or procedures, but by what my patients need.
Please don’t hesitate to let me know what I can do to help you.
